Zynq (Xilinx) is an SoC that integrates a 667MHz dual-core Cortex-A9 and an FPGA. The ZYBO Z7-10 (Digilent) is a development board equipped with Zynq-7010, and comes with on-board memory, video & audio I/O, dual-role USB, Ethernet, SD slot, etc., and can be used for technical evaluation necessary for the design and development of various devices. In this seminar, you will learn the basics of developing original processors using ZYBO Z7-10, the Vivado design and development environment, and the Vitis integrated software platform. On the Vivado side, you will use the block design function to configure an ARM processor and various peripherals, and then experience the process of controlling them using software on the Vitis side. This course is designed to allow you to learn comprehensively by comparing the hardware configured on the Vivado side with the software on the Vitis side. As specific control examples, you will also learn how to use SPI and I2C cores, and how to build an integrated system using a real-time OS (FreeRTOS), so you can experience content that is close to actual system design.
